Privacy Policy

This policy sets out how Thodé Finance & Accounting handles information in connection with this website. It applies to this website only. Information provided in the course of an engagement is governed by the terms agreed with the client.

Information collected

This website has one form: the contact form above the footer. It asks for four things — first name, last name, email address and the message itself — because those are what is needed to answer an enquiry. Nothing further is requested, and there are no accounts and no logins for visitors.

Why it is used, and on what basis

What is submitted is used for one purpose only: to answer the enquiry and, where it leads to one, to prepare an engagement. It is not used for marketing, is not added to a mailing list, and is not sold or passed to anyone for their own purposes. Before the form can be sent, the box beside the consent statement must be ticked; it is never ticked in advance. The statement, together with the date and time it was ticked, is recorded in the notification email so that there is a record of what was agreed to.

How it is handled and how long it is kept

The form does not store anything on this website. There is no database and no visitor file. What is submitted is sent onward as two emails — one to Thodé Finance & Accounting, one back to the sender as confirmation — and after that it exists only in those mailboxes. It is kept there for as long as the enquiry is open and any period required for tax or administrative purposes, and is deleted when neither applies.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies for analytics, advertising, profiling or tracking. No such services are in use, and no information about visitors is shared with third parties for those purposes. As no consent is required for the pages themselves, none is requested and there are no preferences to manage.

Spam protection on the form

To keep the form from being used by automated senders, submissions are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile. The check runs only on the page that carries the form, may place a technical value in the browser for the duration of that check, and looks at how the request behaves rather than at who is making it. It is not used to identify visitors, to follow them across websites, or to build a profile.

Information stored on your device

One item is stored, and only if the notice shown on first visit is dismissed: a record in the browser's local storage confirming that the notice has been seen, so that it is not shown again. The record contains no personal information, is not transmitted, and may be removed at any time through the browser settings.

Server records

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. As with any web server, each request is recorded in technical logs, including the originating IP address. These records exist to keep the website available and to prevent abuse. They are not used to identify individual visitors or to build visitor profiles.

Third-party services

The typefaces and images used on this website are served from this domain, so no content is loaded from external providers while a page is displayed. Two parties are involved once the contact form is used: Cloudflare, which hosts the website and runs the spam check, and Resend, which delivers the two emails. Both act only on instruction and for no purpose of their own. Both handle the information outside Aruba, which is unavoidable for any service of this kind.

Contact links

The contact buttons on this website open an email program or WhatsApp on your own device. No information is submitted to or retained by this website when they are used. Correspondence conducted through WhatsApp is subject to the terms and privacy policy of that service.

Your rights

Anyone who has used the contact form may ask what was received, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw the consent given when it was sent. Withdrawing consent does not undo an answer already given, and a request to delete is met by removing the correspondence from the mailboxes. Because nothing is stored on the website itself, there is no visitor record beyond those emails. This policy may be amended to reflect changes to the website or to applicable law. The date below indicates when it was last revised.
